On 8 February 2011, to celebrate the 183rd anniversary of the birth of Jules Verne, the author of 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea', Google launched a nautical homepage theme that allowed you to move a lever with the use of your pointer alone and see the sealife below and above the sea.

Jules Gabriel Verne, February 8, 1828 – March 24, 1905) was a French author from Brittay who pioneered the science-fiction genre. He is best known for novels such as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870), A Journey to the center of the Earth (1864), and Around the World in Eighty Days (1873)
